COVID-19 PTO PROGRAM

End Date: 03.28.2022

 

This temporary program provides paid time off for eligible employees who:

  •  test positive for COVID-19

    or

  • must stay home to care for a household member who has tested positive for COVID-19

 Employees are only eligible for this program if they provide one the following documents: 

  • Proof of vaccination and booster shot as needed, based on guidelines.

  • Proof of medical exemption

  • Documentation of religious exemption

 The COVID-19 PTO applies once the employee has exhausted their accrued and available PTO. 

 Compensation will equal the average daily rate that the employee earned in the two weeks prior to their quarantine. Payments are capped at 5 business days (maximum of 40 hours for a full-time employee). 

Payment occurs only AFTER proof of a positive COVID 19 test is presented (either for the employee or their household member) and will be retro-active to their first day of absence. 

 DPI reserves the right to request additional documentation and/or deny an unsubstantiated or fraudulent PTO request. 

 This program excludes Staff employees who benefit from the company RTO policy.
